Top 10 Book List Challenge

The Fault in Our Stars.jpg
1.  The Fault in our Stars by John Green
This book shows a love story with some flaws and the strength to overcome the great loss of your loved ones. It shows that you don't have to be normal to fall in love. In this book Hazel Grace shows her own love story even though she has Thyroid which affects her lungs. Augustus Waters falls in love with Hazel even though his osteosarcoma made him lose his own leg. Their love story shows how you don't have to be perfect to fall in love, you can have your own defects. But it also shows how you have to be strong to overcome the death of your loved ones.

2. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
The Hunger Games shows the importance of a promise and it's bravery. This books shows how you have to be brave sometimes. It shows how brave to be when it comes to you're loved ones. Like Katniss Everdeen, she volunteered her own life for her sister. She made a promise with her sister that she would come back, and she did. This book shows the importance of bravery and promises.

3. Divergent by Veronica Roth
Throughout Divergent it shows how you don't have to fit in into a specific place. This book shows how you don't have to fit in and you can be yourself. Beatrice Prior also known as Tris Prior, is Divergent and she doesn't really fit in any of the 5 factions. She and and Four (Tobias Eaton) have made a rebellion against the 5 factions. These 5 factions hate the Divergent because they are different and they don't fit in any of the factions. So this book shows that you don't have to fit anywhere it's okay to be yourself.

4. Hatchet by Gary Paulson
This book shows how brave and strong you have to be to overcome struggles in life. Hatchet is the story of Brian Robeson, a kid who survived a plane crash in an Alaska forest. This book shows how brave Brian had to be to manage surviving the crash. Brain had to make food, shelter, warmth, all by himself with barely any tools. It shows how strong and brave Brian had to be to live in the wilderness. I like this book because it shows that sometimes in life you have to be strong and brave so that you can survive.

5. Loser by Jerry Spinelli
Throughout Loser it shows that life can be hard but you can always have a kind heart. Loser is the story of Donald Zinkoff and his life since he was small until 8th grade. His whole life he got bullied and made fun of. He wasn't a typical kid, you could say that he looked like a 5th grader but acted like a 1st grader. People made fun of him because he had a giraffe hat. He wasn't really the best at anything and no one really liked him but the people that loved him (like his family) said that he had one of the kindest hearts. This book shows that even though you are bullied it doesn't mean that you can't have a kind heart.

6. Allegiant by Veronica Roth

This book shows how strong you have to be to overcome the loss of a loved one. Allegiant is the story of how Tris Prior (Beatrice Prior) and Four (Tobias Eaton) made it to the outside world, out of the factions. It is a story of love, bravery, and lost. Tris fought to get out of the factions. Now that she got out she has to fight to save the lives of the people inside the factions. The outside people have a plan to reset person's mind that are inside the factions. Tris and Tobias both fight for that not to happen. But during that fight Tris get shot and dies. This book shows a story of bravery, love, and lost.

7. Wonder by R. J. Palacio
This book changed my perspective on how people see themselves. Wonder is the story of August Pullman, a kid with a disabled face. It has his first day of school in his entire life. He couldn't go to school because all of his face surgeries. In this book he got bullied a lot because of his facial disability. But throughout the book he meets a couple of friends, and also a couple of struggles but he overcomes them. I like this book because it shows that it's okay to be different and you should accept that.

8. Four by Veronica Roth

Four taught me that sometimes you have to stop being selfless and think more about yourself. Four is the story behind the life of Four (Tobias Eaton). Most of his life he spent doing whatever his father told him to do. Or else he would get hit with the belt. But when it comes to Tobias choosing his faction, he betrays his father. To escape him he has to begin a new life in a new faction. I like this book because it shows how sometimes you have to think about you're future and how you want it to be. Just like Four and his new faction.

9. Hiroshima by Laurence Yep
Throughout this book it shows the struggles people had during the atomic bomb. Hiroshima is the story of the atomic bomb dropped in china. It tells how the people were affected. How people got so sick from the bomb's radiation that they died. It is basically the whole story behind the atomic bomb. It also tells how the planes dropped the bomb and when. This book changed me because of how China suffered to over come this tragedy.

10. The River by Gary Paulson

In The River it shows the bravery that helped them survive. The River is book 2 of Hatchet. In this book Brian Robeson is asked to go to the forest again so that the government can take note of how he survived. But while they were in the forest, his partner got struck by lightning. Now he has to take care of both him and his partner in a coma. I like this book because it shows a lot of bravery on how Brian managed to make both his partner and him survive the forest.
